Design Philosophy

Go Big or Die Small

For me, design is discovery — I am motivated by finding something new and game-changing. This pushes me to innovate.  Never think small, or you'll die that way.  ;)

Be the Arbiter of the Relationship Between People and Products

I believe that all designers have the responsibility to create and/or foster the relationship between a product and a person.  The designer's mission is to always find the most effective way for people to discover their own personal connection between themselves and something else.

Design Scientifically

There is a reason behind everything in the universe, and in almost all cases those reasons can be or will be measured.  Design is no outlier here.  Every choice throughout the design process, every detail, is calculated and made for a reason.  Even if sometimes that reason can't be quantified.
